I have always believed that traveling is good for our senses. It makes us experience things that we wouldn't normally encounter. In addition to that, it makes us understand things better and even make our views wider.
One of my dear learners, Megumi, went on a Europe trip with her friends. I'd like to repost her series here.

【Drive旅の復習】Day2/Karlovy Vary～Cesky Krumlov [旅の"語Log"]
二日目の朝、残念ながら空がどんよりしている。
それもそのはず、朝から小雨が降っている様子。
昨日とは打って変わって肌寒い。
Day 2, morning.
Unfortunately, it was dull weather.
And it's no wonder it was drizzling.
本当ならば、昨日温泉に行ってみようと思っていたのだが
到着が遅かったため、温泉には入れなかった。
仕方なく、街を散策しながらこちらで一般的な温泉の楽しみ方「飲泉」にTryすることに。
ちなみに味は… 「マズイ」。笑
身体に良いなら我慢して飲むけど～～って感じですね。
でもここの温泉は一口でギブアップ。
We thought we'd like to go ONSEN yesterday actually, but our arriving time was bit late.
We strolled along the street, and tried to drink ONSEN.
"Drinking ONSEN" is generality way to enjoy ONSEN.
Just to tell you, the taste bad!!!
I can take it as medicine, but this ONSEN's taste was too terrible.
面白いのが、場所によってはひとつの源泉？に対して異なった温度で準備されていること。
そして、子供から大人まで、みんな美味しそうに飲んでいること。
片手に不思議な形の湯飲み（ラーゼンスキー・ポハーレックと言うらしい）を持って
源泉を周っている。不思議な風景だわ～。
別の機会にぜひ温泉に入るぞ!と心に決めつつ、今日は移動に徹することにする。
There were very interesting 2 things to me;
- One, there are some variation of temperature for serving ONSEN for drinking.
(Not for all place, but some.)
- Two, everybody, child and adult, they seems really enjoy drinking ONSEN.
We decided to get in a ONSEN bath on the other day.
ビール大好き人間としては後ろ髪を引かれる2つの街；
ピルスナービール生誕の地、プルゼニュ(Plzen)と
アメリカ企業に「バドワイザー」として名前を売ってしまったビール工場のある
チェスケブディェヨヴィッツェ(Ceske Budejovice)を素通り。
飲みたい気持ちを抑えつつ、黙々と車を走らせます。
We passed two famous city with strong reluctance for me;
"Plzen" is cradle land of Pilsner beer, and
"Ceske Budejovice" is famous on sold the brewery's name to Budweiser, USA
今日の目的地はチェスキー・クルムロフ（Cesky Krumlov）。
ここは街全体が世界遺産に登録されている、小さな城下町。
Today's destination is Cesky Krumlov, small, castle town.
The whole town is declared a World Heritage site.
到着してすぐ宿探しを開始。
一軒目の宿で「今からじゃ（週末だから）大変よ～頑張って」と励まされる。笑
とはいえ、こんなに有名な観光地の場合は、絶対に空き部屋はあるので気にしない。
Since arriving, we had started to search about an accommodation.
At the first hotel when I asked vacancy room, the lady said "It's hard to find a bed. because it's Saturday. Good luck!".
But I was keep smiling because I'm sure someone have a vacancy room.
Here is the famous tourist spot.
Tourist Information Centerへ行き相談してみることに。
すると、一冊の厚手の宿ガイドを手渡され
「ここから自分の予算に応じていくつか選んでからまた来て。」と。
え～！イギリスとかじゃ、予算言うとすぐその場で電話してくれたけど～
国によって色々だなぁと思いつつ、街の中心にある宿をいくつか選んで再度列に並ぶ。
Went to tourist information center for asking to help to find a bed.
One lady gave me the thick book, it was the list of accommodation, and said, "First, you should choose some hotels suite your budget from this. After, come back here."
It was different the system from another country's I've visited.
幸いなことに割とすぐに部屋をGet。
空き部屋があったのはアパートタイプ（ファミリー向け）の広い部屋だったので
ちょっと高くつくが仕方ない。（朝食付きで2000CZK≒約8000円）
Fortunately, we had gotten the room soon.
It was bit expensive, because the vacancy room was an apartment type.
(There were 4 beds, Room rate was 2000CZK (about 8000yen), including breakfast.)
車をガレージに置き、街を散策。
噂以上にきれいな・かわいらしい街♪
We left the car at the parking spot, took a leisurely walk around the town.
Cesky Krumlov was very nice, cute town that was more beautiful place than I've heard.
夕立に降られたが、おかげで奇麗な虹も見れた。
虹に乾杯しながら美味しい夕食を食べた。
We were caught in a sudden shower, but we could see the beautiful rainbow.
We raised our glass to the rainbow, and enjoyed dinner.
