Some people are good at directions, some just aren't.
Let's listen to the MMD entitled "Lost."
下の動画から音声を聞いて質問に答えて下さい。
1. What are included in the governess guide?
a. The guide included books, folders and assignments.

~After giving endorsements to a new governess.
J - Let's wrap things up. Here in your governess' guide are,
the lesson plan outline, the attendance sheet and the time-in
and out form. Please make sure that you always bring this with
you when you have lessons.
P - Okay.
J - Is there anything that you want to clarify?
P - I think I was able to comprehend everything. I just have
one question, though. Even though I've already handled company
lessons, it would be my first time to teach in a laboratory
-related company. Can you give me a brief profile?
J - I'm sorry, I forgot that part. Actually, we have all the needed
information in this packet for your perusal. Also, you can find
some data about the learners in the network folder.
P - Those would come in handy. At least, I won't feel lost during
the actual class itself. I'd be able to sensibly relate with
them.
J - I totally agree with you. By the way, here's the map to and fro
Tsukuba. This will be your main weapon against "being lost".
●Useful & Humorous expression
★wrap ～up
wrapは包むという意味で"wrap ～up"で１）何かをしっかり包んでしまう
と言う意味と２）仕事やミーティングなどを終わらせる、完成させる、
という意味がありここでは後者で使われています。
Ex.Both companies hope to wrap up the deal by Friday.
双方の会社ともその取引を金曜日までに成立させたいと思っています。
★make sure
何かが本当か、または何かをきちんとしたかを確かめるという意味です。
これもよく使いますが、簡単なのにすぐに出てこない言葉ですね。
Ex. I know you brought the packet yesterday, but I just want to
make sure.
あなたがその包みを昨日持っていったのは知っているけど、ただ
ちょっと確かめたかっただけ。
★come in handy
このかたまりで覚えて下さい。「役に立つ」という時に使えます。
Ex. You should jot down this phrase - it might come in handy
someday.
このフレーズは書きとめておいたほうがいいよ。いつか役に立つかも
しれないよ。
★to and fro
どこかに行って、また帰る事をあらわしています。ハイフンがある場合と
無い場合で用法が違いますので注意してください。
Ex. How do you commute to and fro your office?
By train.
オフィスまでの行き帰りはどうやって通勤しているの。
電車でさ。
◆「迷う」
登場人物： J-ジュリータ、P-パトリシア

J:さあ終わりましょう。このガヴァネスガイドにはレッスンプランの概
要と出席簿とガヴァネスのタイムカードがあります。レッスンがある
ときは、いつも持っていくのを忘れないでね。
P：わかりました。
J:何か確認したい事はある？
P:すべて理解できたと思いますが、ひとつだけ質問があります。もう私
はカンパニーレッスンで教えた事があるけど研究所に関係する所で教
えるのは初めてです。簡単な概要を教えてもらえます？
J:ごめんなさい。それを忘れていたわ。実際必要な情報はあなたがじっ
くり読めるようにすべてこの中にあります。ラーナーのデータもネッ
トワークのフォルダーで見られるわよ。
P:これはきっと便利ね。少なくとも、実際のクラスでどうしたらいいか
わからなくならないと思います。きっときちんと彼らと話ができると
思うわ。
J:それは間違いなくそうね。ところで、ここにつくばへの行き帰りの地図
があるわよ。これはあなたが「迷子にならない」ための一番の武器にな
るわ。
